COLUMBIA — Two men were arrested Tuesday night after Boone County Sheriff's deputies attempted to stop their car for a vehicle equipment violation, according to a Sheriff's Department news release.
Tyler Boyce, 18, of Columbia, and Billy J. Bergsieker, 32, of Sturgeon, were pulled over at 10:44 p.m. in the 1800 block of Prathersville Road and left on foot, running through Crescent Meadows Trailer Park, the release said.
According to the release, Boyce was arrested and charged with one count misdemeanor resisting arrest.
Bergsieker was arrested and charged on a felony no-bond parole absconder warrant; a Boone County felony tempering warrant; felony resisting arrest; driving with a revoked license; possession of marijuana under 35 grams; and failure to register a motor vehicle, according to the release. His bond is $8,095, with a no-bond probation and parole warrant, which means even if he makes bail, he'll remain at the jail for the parole violation, according to a Boone County Jail employee.
Boyce's bail is set at $500. As of 10:40 a.m., he was still being held at the jail.
