JEFFERSON CITY — Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is coming back to Missouri.
Palin has scheduled a Thursday morning campaign event in Cape Girardeau. It will be the second visit to the state in a week for John McCain's running mate.
On Friday, Palin held a rally in Springfield and dropped the puck at the opening of a St. Louis Blues hockey game.
Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama said he also expects to make another stop in Missouri before the Nov. 4 election.
A new poll conducted for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch and television station KMOV shows Obama and McCain about even in Missouri.

Senator John McCain is a respected 72 year old American warrior, but he is on a path whose slope, however gentle, is downward. On the contrary Senator Barack Obama is an intelligent, articulate, and insightful 47 year old American whose best years lie ahead of him; a man who graduated near the top of his class at Harvard Law School and was president of its Law Review; a man who understands and respects the American constitution because he was an instructor of constitutional law for 12 years at the University of Chicago Law School; a man familiar with the American legislative process because he served 3 terms as an Illinois State Senator and as a US Senator for the past 4 years; a man acquainted with Washington but one who also brings fresh ideas and a passion for bringing about important and necessary changes in Washington.
Senator Barack Obama is a man of equanimity, keen intellect, clear vision, sound judgment, and steadfast determination. He is the man America needs today. He is the man who can lead America into the future.
Palin to campaign in Cape Girardeau
Oh goody! I wonder what she's going to wear...
ray shapiro didn't you hear she is now wearing her cheapo wedding ring,a coat from a thrift store and she got rid of the fancy heals.
If Obama is a Constitutional scholar, why did he switch his stance on FISA renewal? Does he not believe in the Fourth Amendment as much as he once did, or was it a convenient political switch?
If Palin can take money revenues collected from the major oil companies in Alaska and redistribute those moneys to the citizens of Alaska isn't that Socialism as she and McCain accuse Obama of going to do? So wouldn't that make Palin a Socialist?
In case you haven't noticed, both McCain and Obama (and their running mates) are all socialists to a degree. They are all the same in my book, with the exception that a McCain Presidency would offer gridlock in Washington D.C.
