The title "Missouri fans are welcoming" got my attention. I had the unfortunate luck of sitting by the Missouri fans during the Nebraska-Missouri game and I can say they surpassed my expectations of being the worst fans I have encountered. I attended a game years ago when I lived in St. Louisand we experienced taunting, shoving, vulgar threats and a vandalized vehicle. All of this was after MU won.
This year was no better. I wish I could say it was just drunk MU students, but it was even gray-haired fans throwing the insults our way. These MU fans were so bad that other MU fans stood up and told them to shut up because they were embarrassing; now that is pathetic.
Chase Daniel lost my respect with his comments two years in a row about how bad Nebraska was. I have never heard a Heisman candidate run down another team as he did. A Heisman candidate needs class and integrity, not just the ability to throw a ball. Hopefully Chase is humbled by the last two disastrous weeks MU has had, which could be attributed to his poor play. No matter how good MU is on the field, they will never match Nebraska's class when it comes to their fans. MU has a long way to go both on and off the field.
