Congrats on the Missourian relaunch, I think it's a huge improvement on the previous version. The design is more natural, and I love the newsfeed option on the left side. Which leads to two questions:
1. Is there RSS functionality in this build? I use Flock as my browser now and it usually auto-detects feeds. In some ways this question is based on the success of your design here. I see the feeds on the left and want more, which obviously is a good thing, and my first thought is to customize.
2. Sort of based on the first, but a small suggestion. I LOVE the Latest Comments feature on the left, what I would really like is that the Latest Comments text would be linked like the titles above it so I can load a page that just indexes comments from most recent to least, sort of a separate page for that feed. I see what's being discussed, I want to know what else people are discussing. Again, this is a "need" that emerges out of a good feature you have added to the site, probably one I wouldn't have thought of until I see the possibilities you offer. It would allow me to browse chatter without clicking on every story to see if there is discussion happening, and I think it might be a good step toward getting people involved in conversations and let you build that community you're trying to construct there.
These are probably small suggestions, but adding some input. I especially think #2 would be a great feature, #1 is more for browsing nerds.
Your staff has done a tremendous job with this, they should be proud.
Jeremy,
Thanks for your kind words!
Addressing your questions, #1 has been fixed. RSS feeds work now (we had to fix a small glitch). As for #2, that is functionality we are currently working on. Expect it soon!

I have been reading the Missourian Web site for years, but will no longer do so with the current design. This design appears scattered, unkept, and resembles a chaotic advertisement more than a professional newspaper.
Why change what was clean, functional, and crisp? Web design ought incorporate and emphasize viewing ease. More is not always better.
