Columbia is paradise for hip replacement surgery

As the world seemed to be going to hell in a you-know-what, I was experiencing the most excruciating pain in my life. Diagnosis: I needed a hip replacement. I told my doctor that I was insulted that my hip wore out. He said, “Mrs. DuNard, you are 90. I have had some patients who are only 45 who needed hip replacements.”

Always, I have thought that Columbia is paradise. Now I know it is. Having this surgery reassured me that my primary doctor is the best. My surgeon is the best, but wait until I tell you about a spot in Columbia filled with angels. The name is Lenoir Woods where I spent four weeks in recovery.

These technicians work from the heart. A patient’s safety and recovery come first. Each work with a smile and kindness. Every care is taken including emotional care. A gal can get her hair set. Speakers come to entertain and enlighten. Bingo provides extra fun. Since I had a hip replacement, they taught me exercises that would strengthen my muscles. I had become a wimp. The food is yummy.

Yes, Columbia is paradise and there are more angels flying around than you might have known.
