JEFFERSON CITY — Lt. Gov. Peter Kinder named an official from Gov. Matt Blunt’s administration as Kinder’s new chief of staff and general counsel.

Richard AuBuchon replaces Eric Feltner, who resigned last month as Kinder’s chief of staff after it became public that Feltner had been charged with two misdemeanor pornography counts.

Feltner is accused of graphically discussing masturbation and sexual stimulation in written Internet messages with someone he believed to be a 13-year-old girl.

AuBuchon has been serving as Blunt’s deputy commissioner of the Office of Administration. He is one of several past and present Blunt staffers named in a defamation lawsuit brought by former Blunt legal counsel Scott Eckersley.

AuBuchon previously was an assistant attorney general.
