Three days of music

Laura Wick, center, performs a flag routine with the Missouri Lions All-State Band on Wednesday afternoon at the Boone County Courthouse Square in the first performance of their three-day tour. Wick, from Hamilton, Mo., who will be a junior this fall, said that she enjoys participating in the band and meeting new people, but learning the moves is hard because of the small time frame. The group, sponsored by the Missouri Lions Club, first gathered at South East Missouri State last Thursday for several days of rehearsal before playing various venues in the state.

Students in the Missouri Lions All-State Band perform in the Boone County Courthouse Square on Wednesday afternoon at the start of its three-day performance tour. The band began rehearsing last Thursday and will play its final show in the VP Parade in St. Louis on Friday.
