Tips for enjoying the air show

Saturday, May 17, 2008 | 12:05 a.m. CDT

—Take folding chairs (no general seating available).

—Take sunscreen.

—Take a hat and binoculars.

—Take layers of clothing, a roll-up rain suit or poncho (no umbrellas, please).

—Hearing protection is advisable, especially for small children.

—It’s best not to go if you have an infant. Air show environments with high noise levels and weather exposure are not the best for young children.

—Wear sturdy shoes. The tarmac may get hot.
