William G. “Gary” Arnold
William G. “Gary” Arnold of Detroit died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2008, in Detroit. He was 61.
Mr. Arnold was born on Sept. 29, 1946, in Yates to William and Margaret Arnold. He married Belinda Cargile on Feb. 14, 1977.
Mr. Arnold is survived by two sons, Kevin Powell and Gary Arnold; five stepdaughters, Q’Kwanam and Makeba Cargile, Monique, La Sonia and Benita Erving; one stepson, Terrance Cargile; one brother, Robert Arnold of Columbia; one sister, Betty Hayes of Marshall; and 16 grandchildren.
Mr. Arnold’s parents, wife and two sisters died earlier.
Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 512 E. Washington St. in Marshall. Services, conducted by the Rev. I.B.S. Groves, will be held immediately after visitation. Burial will be in the Salisbury City Cemetery. H.T. May and Son FuneralChapel, 460 S. Lincoln Ave. in Marshall, is in charge of arrangements.
